Resources

We provide a wide range of programs, resources, services, and benefits to help our members succeed and thrive in practice.

Education

We support our members in achieving professional excellence by providing doctors of optometry and optometric staff with continuing education, conferences and seminars that allow them to enhance their knowledge and skills and stay current with advances in the profession.

See our list of upcoming events.

Newly graduated members receive a 50% discount on the annual conference registration fees in their first full year of practice. For details on special rates available through your Association membership, please contact us.

Volunteer Opportunities

Members are invited to volunteer with us to support the profession and the Association. Our committed volunteers contribute in numerous ways, including:

  • advocating on behalf of doctors
  • working on key awareness campaigns
  • participating on association committees
  • representing optometry at trade shows and other events

In turn, volunteering can help members develop a network of like-minded doctors and develop professionally. Members are invited to participate, either by joining a committee of interest or by running in an election for the Board. More detailed information can be found on the BC Doctors of Optometry member site or by contacting the Association.
